"I Choose To Breathe" is a song that was composed by Sergio Brandt shortly before he unexpectedly passed away in August, 2021.

This wonderful performance by him was initially only meant to be a demo recording. It was recorded a month before his passing.

This song was supposed to be a part of his debut solo album. He wanted to use his voice to tell his personal story in order to inspire many others like him who had lived through tough childhoods.

On the surface, the song “I Choose To Breathe” talks about how he struggled with sleep apnea in December 2020, as well as all the people who battled with Covid. He was also addressing the power of “breath” in re-aligning our focus and direct it to the important things in life, “YHWH” (Yahweh).

Sergio had a powerhouse of a voice and he used it profoundly in the Gospel scene. He had released numerous songs under the banner of his church, EKC (Ecclesia Kingdom Community).

Sergio was a proud father and husband who loved and cherished his family. This debut album was meant to be a part of the legacy he left behind for them. All the proceeds from the sale of this track will be put in a special fund for his three children.
